Fasten your seat belts — we’re setting a course for Crazytown. Berlin’s Propeller Island City Lodge near Adenauer Platz may be the most bizarre example of the artist-designed hotel trend. Each of the hotel’s 30 rooms was created by a different artist, and this time it’s more than a coat of paint and a few twigs glued to the walls. Consider the Mirror Room above, designed to make guests feel as if they’re imprisoned inside a diamond. Restful! Rates vary by room, starting at 80, though most are closer to 100 per night.
