So white … so pure … must violate with my foulness … Sorry, just daydreaming. Berlin’s Lux 11, a super-designed boutique hotel in the Mitte district, is white. Beyond that it’s very spacious and ultra-modern. Rooms are called “apartments,” as each comes with a very small kitchenette. Recessed LCD TVs and a wired net connection complete the amenities picture. Though Lux 11 offers a lobby complete with “video installations” and a day spa, a promised restaurant, cafe, and/or lounge will not open until later in 2006. Rates begin at 115 per night.
