“Multi-property search solution makes ITB debut A multi-property search solution enabling hotel chains to cross-sell rooms has been developed by the Great Hotels Organisation. The new booking engine for hotel chain websites is to be launched at ITB in Berlin next week. G-wiz Xtra is an extension of the existing G-wiz website booking engine. It has been designed to address the fact many hotel chain websites are currently unable to offer multi-property availability searches, according to the company.”

Last month, I described the Q! Hotel in Berlin, visited by none other than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. But there are other places to be seen in the German capital: the newly opened Lux 11 in the Mitte district offers compact, ultra-modern rooms (or ‘apartments’ as they refer to them), tastefully decorated in cream, complete with their own kitchens (although a restaurant is expected later this year); the recently re-opened, chic Mandala Hotel (formerly the Madison Potsdamer Platz hotel) with its 166 suites, and Ku ‘Damm 101, Berlin’s answer to luxury accommodation with a touch of urban style. Mayda makes Berlin There are various localised vlogs out there, and honourable mentions go to the Brooklyn Chowder Surfer’s fearless coverage of New York seafood, and “wacky” Dave Armstrong’s Toronto nutshells. But my current favourite is Mayda 3000’s Berlin vlogs on what Berlin does best - be cooler than you. Mayda covers all sorts of avant-garde stuff; his coverage of his home neighbourhood of Kreuzberg ranges from art openings through gay pride to a night out at the “infamous” S036 club.
